I have been publishing TILs and sometimes I include screen captures to illustrate steps. Sometimes the screen captures are videos and other times, they are in animated gifs.
They are all made with a tool that I discovered many years ago, Kap
Kap, is an open-source screen recorder for macOS that makes it easy to capture your screen and turning them into different formats.
In this video, it shows the step after the screen capture has been recorded. Kap makes it super easy to select segment of the video, the output resolution, fps and the format to convert to.
It’s a tool that I highly recommend 👍🏼.
